Scientific paper

A quasi-linear model of hiss type emissions developed by Sazhin (1984)
is extended in order to include deformation of the dayside
magnetosphere. Explicit analytical expressions for wave spectral density
are obtained and applied for interpretation of some properties of polar
chorus emission spectra.
