A numerical solution of equations describing the state of the ionospheric and magnetospheric plasma is used to construct a model for disturbances of density and temperature caused by the heating of the F-region by intense short-wave transmissions. An unsteady version of the model is presented, and calculation results are given for various geophysical conditions and in relation to the potentials of the radio transmitters.
