We investigate a method of spectral analysis of incomplete time series
containing gaps large and small, and applied it to the cataclysmic
variable V795 Her and the pre-cataclysmic variable HW Vir for short
period oscillations. We found clear evidence of flickering in both and
oscillations of periods 296.91 s and 116.70 s in V795 Her.
