The Chebyshev-Nemchinov algorithm was used to process equal-altitude observations of stars. This approach makes it possible to add or to exclude unknowns without reiteration of the system of normal equations and without complete repetition of its solutions. The proposed algorithm can be used to solve astrometric problems in which the number of unknowns may change during the calculation process.
