This paper describes a 2 + 1 algorithm for phase shifting interferometric testing of large optics in the noisy polishing environment. The nearly simultaneous acquisition of two interferograms containing the required phase information effectively eliminates the effects of vibration, while a third normalizing interferogram can be taken at a later time.
