An algorithm is suggested for obtaining estimates of the spectral power
density (SPD) of stationary processes, using the Boltzmann definition of
entropy. The entropy expression following from this definition differs
in the general case from the corresponding expression suggested by
Shannon. The reasons for the deviations are revealed.
