A low-noise room-temperature wide-band parametric amplifier is described
which could be used, for example, in 12-GHz satellite ground station
receivers. The amplifier has a gain of 26 dB, a 1/2-dB bandwidth of 660
MHz, and a noise temperature between 156 and 171 K.
