A geophysical Laboratory experiment with baroclinicity and planetary beta effect like as real atmosphere has been tried. Not only axisymmetric but also asymmetric circulation around the north pole appeared in this newly designed rotating water tank experiment. Distribution of fluid velocity was analyzed by using the trajectory data of tracer particles on the water surface. It was found that the flow regime make transition from axisymmetric to asymmetric beyond a critical value of the system rotating speed which gives the maximum value of zonal mean angular velocity of the fluid.
