Two simple gravitational lens models for the arclike structure in the rich cluster Cl 0500 - 24 are presented. These models are constructed in accordance with the observations, which suggest that beside the cluster, two galaxies are important for the light deflection. The models account naturally for the shape as well as for the orientation of the observed elongated feature. The lens parameter can be determined to within about 20 percent. It is concluded that gravitational lensing of a background galaxy is a possible explanation for this arclike structure.
