A model of NGC 4027 incorporating an asymmetric mass distribution is used in an attempt to explain that galaxy's peculiar rotation curve. A theoretical rotation curve synthesized from stable periodic and quasi-periodic orbits in the potential of the model is found to be in very close agreement with the observed rotation curve. The key to the peculiarities of the observed curve appears to be the presence of a stable equilibrium point in the potential field. The bar is displaced about 0.5 kpc from the center of the disk, and the equilibrium point is on the opposite side of the disk some 2 kpc from the center of the bar. The model is also used to simulate other late-type barred spirals by altering the dimensions, mass, and bar rotation rate within the constraints of the dimensionless numbers in the model potential. It appears to represent other asymmetric barred spirals accurately, including NGC 4631.
