Radio continuum observations at four frequencies of the edge-on galaxy NGC 4631 are investigated. Measurements at 608.5 MHz and at 4750 MHz are combined with earlier measurements at 1412 MHz (Ekers and Sancisi, 1977) and at 10,700 MHz (Klein et al., 1984) with nearly the same noise levels. The new 608.5 MHz map is compared with the earlier 21 cm map and a remarkable agreement in map structure is obtained. For a comparison of all four maps the smooth procedure is applied to the 608.5 MHz, 1412 MHz, and 10,700 MHz maps, bringing them to the 2.4-arcmin beam of the 4750 MHz map. The results give evidence for a dynamical halo around NGC 4631 and confirm the prediction about the frequency dependence of the halo extent in the dynamical halo model of Lerche and Schlickeiser (1981, 1982).
