Based on the detailed discussions on a simplified ideal resonant model with perturbations which corresponds to the elliptic restricted three-body problem, the authors put forward a discriminating method on stability of orbital resonant states by means of an energy relation. Numerical results show that if the eccentricity of motional body is less than 0.2, then the method can be used to distinguish the stability of orbital resonant states in the elliptic restricted three-body problem.
