A trial to introduce a DDC (direct digital control) system has been
carried out in order to stabilize the temperature of the VENUS vertex
chamber so as to obtain a spatial resolution of better than 50 μm.
The temperature is controlled to within 0.1°C in the gas near to the
chamber endplates.
