There has not been a lunar eclipse like the one on 28-29 Nov. 1993 in recent memory. Overall the umbra appeared dark, yet the Moon's southern limb looked brilliant. Many observers likened the view to that of the diamond-ring effect of a total solar eclipse. Photographs of the total lunar eclipse are presented. Different accounts of the event are presented from various observers.
