A determination of the errors in the principal nutation terms of the 1980 IAU Theory of Nutation is made using the improved BIH astrometric data of the years 1962-82. The present results have an accuracy of 1 mas. Comparison with the results from other techniques shows evidence that the 1980 principal nutation terms may need to be corrected by a few units in mas.
