A thorough statistical analysis of the physical properties of Cepheid
variables is performed on the basis of an extensive set of photometric
data in the VBLUW system (Pel, 1976). The problem of determining color
excesses, and mean colors and temperatures is considered, and
theoretical masses, radii, and luminosities are recalculated.
