The paper proposes a new deduction of the differential equation of sunspot theory based on the "similarity" assumption. This deduction permits us to extend the possibility of describing the sunspot-twisted magnetic field. The requirement to be met by the azimuthal component has been defined. Some analytical properties of possible solutions are discussed.
