We propose to obtain a deep RGS spectrum of the Abell 1068 cluster that will be sensitive enough to measure cooling in the Fe XVII lines at or below the level of star formation in the cD galaxy. This measurement is the critical test for the existence of cooling gas in the cores of clusters. This proposal is a new submission of a previous proposal that was granted C time in the last cycle but has not been scheduled to be observed.
