The results of a computer simulation of a soft-landing algorithm are
discussed in which the rate of descent is decelerated by thrust vector
control and by changing the attitude of the craft in inertial space. It
is assumed that thrust vector control is fast-acting and that the
specific impulse is independent of the mass flow rate.
