The statistical reduction method is used to compare a sequence of N-body galaxy clustering models with the actual distribution of galaxies, and it is found that while the more evolved dynamical models exhibit similarities with the observed sample, the simulated models indicate a pronounced maximum for a small characteristic cluster size. By contrast, the observed cluster size distribution is almost entirely flat. The method described is recommended as an alternative to such current methods as covariance, multiplicity functions, and the power spectrum.
