Relativity Theory: Collapse
Scientific paper
The collapse of a spherically symmetric light shell in the relativistic
theory of gravity is studied. A solution is obtained for the case of a
thin shell. It is shown that the light shell falls freely toward its
geometrical center and that the resulting metric has no singularities
either on the Schwarzschild sphere or at the geometrical center.
