A catalog of 31 diffuse nebulae and 36 stellar emission-line objects in the Local Group irregular galaxy NGC 6822 is represented. Identifications of the objects were made from several wide-band and interference filter plates of NGC 6822 obtained with the CTIO 4-m telescope at the prime focus under conditions of excellent seeing. The numbers and sizes of the diffuse nebulae in NGC 6822 are similar to those of the population of H II regions in the Small Magellanic Cloud. THe 36 stellar emission-line objects found in NGC 6822 appear to be emission-line stars, small H II spheres, and planetary nebulae.
