The principles of the gravitational wave detection by means of resonant antennas are illustrated and a brief review of the resonant antenna experiments in the world is given. The new projects to use spheres as resonant detectors are very briefly presented. The sensitivity of the resonant detectors is then compared with those of the interferometer antennas.
