A radiation-filled cosmological solution to the Einstein equations, which expands isotropically, is given for a Bianchi type III metric. To effect this expansion, the radiation gas must exert negative pressures in two directions. This solution highlights the importance of specifying the behavior of matter when addressing the issue of the tendency of metrics belonging to a specific Bianchi type to become isotropic.
