This paper presents the first part of a survey of the southern sky at
2.3 GHz. The surveyed area extends from declination -63° to -24°
and from right ascension 12h00 to 22h00. The
angular resolution of the telescope was 20arcmin and the sensitivity of
the survey is better than 16mK.
