Results are presented on spectroscopic observations conducted from 1978 to 1988 on the single-line Am star 41 Sextantis A, carried out with the Meinel spectrograph attached to the focus of the Japal-Rangapur Observatory's telescope. It was found that many of blended Fe lines in the 41 Sex A spectrum peaked around 0.25, 0.50, 0.75, and 1.0 of its orbital phase, indicating the presence of abundance patches that might be formatted by the surface magnetic field configuration, a phenomenon not previously observed on Am stars, although being akin to Ap stars. It is suggested that 41 Sex A might be a prototype of a new class among Am stars.
