A slowly varying background noise in the 4.5-KHz band observed at Lake
Vanda, Antarctica (81°S, INV), has most of the features one would
expect of Cerenkov radiation from the precipitating soft electrons that
constitute the upgoing field-aligned current from TRIAD measurements in
the dayside cusp.
