We investigate the clustering properties of z˜ 1.4 QSOs using the new 2dF-SDSS LRG and QSO Survey (2SLAQ). 2SLAQ reaches QSOs one magnitude fainter than the previous 2QZ survey and thus helps to break the L-z degeneracy of QSO clustering. We find
the clustering does not depend strongly on luminosity at fixed redshift. The data are consistent with models which predict that QSOs of different luminosities reside in haloes of similar mass. The data are inconsistent with simple, 'high peaks', models of QSO biasing where rare, luminous QSOs might be expected to occupy higher mass haloes. QSO luminosity also appears only weakly correlated with QSO BH mass, although accretion at a fixed fraction of the Eddington rate cannot be excluded.
