The ^7Be(p, γ)^8B reaction is one of the dominant sources of observed neutrinos from solar processes. Due to the difficulty of the measurement of the cross section for this reaction at solar energies, the astrophyscial S_17(0)-factor has been extrapolated from experiments at higher energies or from Coulomb break-up reactions. We are applying a new method for the meaurement of the S_17(0) by obtaining the Asymptotic Normalization Coefficient (ANC) for the ^7Be(p, γ)^8B reaction. A primary beam of ^7Li was extracted from the TAMU K500 cyclotron at an energy of 18.6 MeV/n incident on a H2 gas target to produce a radioactive beam of ^7Be. A nearly pure beam of ^7Be was obtained at the focal plane of the Momentum Achromat Recoil Spectrometer (MARS) where a ^10B target was used to induce the transfer reaction ^10B( ^7Be, ^8B)^9Be. ^8B and elastically scattered ^7Be particles were detected using Si detector telescopes. The data along with model calculations will be presented and the impact on the determination of S_17(0) will be discussed.
