It is pointed out that by taking Kepler's second law into account, the
‘sidereal correction’, i.e., the correction to be added to
the observed synodic rotation rate of the Sun in order to get the
sidereal rate, can be calculated more directly than described in a
recent paper by Roša et al. (1995).
