Scientific paper

We propose to use two orthogonal orientations of the STIS spectrograph
slit to verify the orientation of the bipolar outflow in the interacting
binary system Beta Lyrae {HD174638}, and to investigate the extent of
the outflow in four spectral regions of interest.
