It is found that the horizontal mixing scale for the moon is equal to 5 km and 50 km for the lunar maria and highlands, respectively. Spreading layers of ray systems less than 10-m-thick are destroyed on the maria, while layers less than 100-m-thick are destroyed on the highlands. On small atmosphereless cosmic bodies (with diameters of about 10 km) the scale of the horizontal transfer decreases sharply below 1 km due to mass losses because of impact.
