MEETING REPORT The successful completion of the first year of routine
science operations of ESA's Herschel Space Observatory was marked by a
Specialist Discussion Meeting of the RAS held in January 2011. A few of
the early science highlights from the mission were presented. Derek
Ward-Thompson and David Clements summarize.
