All one-loop quantum gravitational corrections to the Einstein action,
involving the graviton and the ghosts as bilinears, have been
systematically determined in a class of Lorentz-covariant gauges and in
a manner which is explicitly Becchi-Rouet-Stora invariant. The procedure
explains why certain miraculous relations arise in previous analyses.
