Proceedings focused on planetary magnetism, high field intensities in the solar nebula during the formative stages of the solar system, dynamo theories, geomagnetism, the thermal and chemical evolution of planetary interiors, and paleomagnetic methods. Papers were presented on geomagnetic secular variations on the historical time scale, magnetic probing of planetary interiors, strength of the magnetic field in the earth's liquid core, convection driven dynamos, alpha-effect in flux ropes and sheets, core cooling by subsolidus mantle convection, the magnetic field of Mercury, the Martian magnetic field, origin of magnetic fields in the giant planets, theories for the origin of lunar magnetism, and constraints on the origins of lunar magnetism from electron reflection measurements of surface magnetic fields.
