Data from a pulse timing study of the pulsar PSR 0329 plus 54 indicating the possibility of a companion is discussed. The barycentric arrival times of pulses observed over an eight-year period were analyzed in order to obtain values for the second derivatives with respect to time of the pulsar frequency, assuming a constant braking index equal to three. The large values of the second derivative derived are discussed in terms of long-term variations in pulsar rotation (glitches) and the orbital motion of the pulsar. Residuals for PSR 0329 plus 54 obtained after subtraction of a cubic polynomial for the pulse number at a given time are shown to exhibit an apparent periodic component corresponding to a displacement of 257 km over a period of three years. Such a periodicity is attributed to either a change in pulse shape, precession of a magnetic dipole axis, or a planet with a mass between 0.06 and 0.57 times that of the earth.
