Recent observations have indicated that the twin quasistellar objects 0957 + 561 A and B might be images produced by a gravitational lens. New direct observations are presented, including the probable detection of an object between the two quasistellar objects. The implications of these observations for the nature of the twin quasistellar objects are discussed.
