The molecular properties of water vapor are strongly affected by centrifugal distortion. In this paper, use is made of a multi-mode model of the water molecule that takes explicit account of centrifugal distortion to calculate the strengths of individual water vapor lines. Theoretical predictions are presented for lines in the 2300-2400 kayser regions of the spectrum.
