In many situations, particularly at the magnetopause, magnetic reconnection operates between plasmas with quite different properties. Using resistive MHD simulations as a basis, we investigate the properties of reconnection under such conditions. Particularly we investigate the scaling of the maximum reconnection rate with magnetic field strength, pressure, and density in both inflow regions.
