Radiation belt electrons gain energy by radially diffusing inwards and through local heating. Losses of radiation belt electrons are provided by the resonant pitch-angle scattering by chorus and EMIC waves, and by outward radial diffusion, when the phase space density has a negative radial gradient. We present simulations of the stormtime dynamics of the radiation belts using the 3D code, obtained by solving the bounce and drift averaged Fokker-Planck equation. Numerical simulations show the relative contribution of various acceleration and loss mechanisms and feedback processes between them.
