Stellar activity evolves steeply from pre-main sequence stage to the solar age. The emission levels of young stars is four orders of magnitude larger than present day solar emission. Interestingly large part of the decreasing of X-ray luminosity occurs during the early main sequence life. In this talk I will review how the activity level changes with stellar age, and the state of art of our knowledge of the evolution of coronal temperature and structures, as function of age and rotation.
