Wolf-Rayet Stars: Light Curves, Wolf-Rayet Stars: Photometry

Scientific paper

The authors analyze data from high-speed photometry of the Wolf-Rayet star HD 191765 = WR 134 in two spectral regions: the continuum and the He II line λ485.9 nm. Short-lived (100 - 200 s) flickering events were detected in both bands. The level of flickering activity in HD 191765 during the observations shows no periodic variations with an expected period of 7.44 days. The detected flickering activity is likely to arise due to the intrinsic high-frequency variability of the star.
