We construct sub-synoptic maps of the coronal elemental abundances and electron density for an east limb corona at 1.63 solar radii during Sep.20-Oct.01, 2000. The data were taken from SOHO/UVCS and covered position angles of 85-126 degrees. During this time period, the east limb corona mainly consisted of three streamers and two dark areas that exhibited very different plasma properties. We construct a 3-D MHD coronal model with improved energy input, and compare the large scale coronal properties between the model and the observation. The open and closed magnetic field structures from the model are used to investigate areas of different abundances and densities among disk structures.
