Solar Energetic Electron Events

Scientific paper

Solar origin and release of near-relativistic impulsive electron events measured at 1 AU by the Electron, Proton and Alpha Monitor (EPAM) experiment on the ACE spacecraft is investigated. These measurements are combined with radio imaging and spectral data over a broad frequency range. This study focuses on the events which correspond to a delay between the inferred injection times of the electrons at the sun and the electromagnetic emissions from flares. Radio signatures are found near the estimated time of the electron release. Interpretation of these results is discussed.
