The Leading Arm of the Magellanic System is a tidally formed atomic hydrogen (HI) feature extending from the Magellanic Clouds through the Milky Way Galactic Plane. Using HI data from the Galactic All-Sky Survey we have recently found evidence for an interaction between an high velocity cloud (HVC) in the Leading Arm and the Galactic Plane. If confirmed this will provide information about the distance to the Leading Arm, the orbit of the tidally stripped material, the physical processes involved in HVC/Galaxy interactions and the role of HVC interactions in determining ISM structure. At present the interaction region is unresolved with the Parkes 15 arcmin beam. Here we request 180 hours to image the HVC and interaction region to a resolution of 2.5 arcmin to confirm whether the cloud is interacting and study the details of the interaction.
