We have analyzed archived Chandra data for a sample of 18 low-luminosity early-type galaxies and found that all of the galaxies are gas poor. The ratio of gas mass to stellar mass in these galaxies is ten times less than that found among more luminous galaxies, suggesting the presence of galactic winds in these systems.We find that Type Ia supernovae are energetically favored over AGN as the dominant heating mechanism driving the winds. If these galaxies possess SNeIa driven galactic winds, then the Fe abundance of the hot gas should be highly super solar.
