A program to detect and study for the first time solar-like cyclic behavior in the X-ray emission of stars similar to our Sun has been ongoing since XMM s AO-1. Five targets in three stellar systems have been monitored since 2001, providing for the first time clear evidence of long-term cycles in the X-ray luminosity of normal stars, with variations in X-ray luminosity of up to an order of magnitude. The present proposal requests continuation of the ongoing monitoring program into XMM AO-7, needed to progress toward full confirmation of the coronal cycle and a well constrained determination of its period for our targets.
