Radiative transition probabilities and collision strengths have been calculated for transitions within the ground 3s(2)3p(3) configuration of Fe(11+) and between the ground and excited 3s3p(4), 3s(2)3p(2)3d configurations. The collision calculations were performed in LS coupling, and the resultant R-matrix was then transformed into an intermediate-coupling representation to obtain collision strengths between fine-structure levels. The results obtained enable the populations of the levels of the ground configuration to be reliably calculated. The relative intensities of transitions within the ground configuration are good indicators of the coronal electron density.
