An attempt is made to show that if the gravitational microfield characterized by a spacetime fluctuation is considered as a microevent and evaluated in terms of information thermodynamics, some thermodynamic aspects (e.g., temperature coefficient, entropy) of the gravitational macrofield can be elucidated. An averaging process with respect to spacetime fluctuations is outlined, and it is suggested that the concept of entropy associated with the averaging process arises due to a certain nonholonomic relation from which the geometrical concept of torsion originates. It is found that the concept of entropy associated with the gravitational macrofield can be combined to some extent with Onsager's (1931) reciprocal relations.
