We analyze the possibility of neutrino emission from matter accreting into a neutron-star member of a binary x-ray source. Estimates of the expected fluxes and neutrino energy are given for selected values of the accretion rate under the assumption that the neutrino production is mainly due to the reaction γ⇆e- +e+-->νe+ν¯e.
